Objective
The objective of
ECENTEX/COPPE/UFRJ is to contribute to the Brazilian
development mainly through the application, dissemination and
improvement of the methodology developed within the partnership between
COPPE and Petrobras to establish and develop Vanguard Centers and
Networks.

ECENTEX
To assist Petrobras in the establishment of new centers of excellence and to develop and disseminate the methodology, Petrobras is supporting the Office on Centers and Networks of Excellence of COPPE (ECENTEX) and contemplates the establishment of other similar spaces and it has already structured a new one together with the Federal University of Bahia. Presently, Petrobras and COPPE consider the amplification of ECENTEX’s scope in order to include Organization and Management

Center of Excellence of the Maré Olympic
Village
The Center of Excellence of
the Maré Olympic Village is a pioneer application of the centers and
network centers methodology in the social area that had the support of
the Rio de Janeiro and Petrópolis Municipal Administration.
Center of Excellence for the Brazilian Sea
The area under the
responsibility of Cembra – the Brazilian Sea– has been lately
denominated “Blue Amazon”, and it refers to the oceanic region under the
Brazilian jurisdiction, according to the United Nations Convention on
the Law of the Sea
The objective of the CE-EPC
is to gather and achieve potentiality of the efforts made by the
enterprises and entities that common interests in order to develop
actions aiming at increasing productivity of the Brazilian industry
regarding the EPC chain and consequently increase their participation in
the investment projects of the oil and gas companies operating in Brazil
and abroad on a competitive and sustainable basis

Strategic

Petrobras’
Suppliers Network
ECENTEX has been participating in the important work "Network of
Management Advance of Petrobras’ Suppliers Network". The
tasks
carried out in 2010 culminated in the edition of the book that
can be seen in this site
(click here). The main objective of
the work is to substantially increase the national content of
its investments in products, processes and services of
international quality and prices so that the national industry
in this segment will be subsequently competitive
abroad. Negotiations are under way to launch the 12 Programs and
65 Projects defined by dozens of participating entities. As it
will be verified in the mentioned text, an ample and modern
network that will support the process is being organized
